Sing With B Music - Make Up Policy

MAKE UP POLICY

Please be aware that two make-ups per semester is allowable. One of those two may be made up during make-up week. Occasionally, personal circumstances (or classes missed due to religious holidays like Rosh Hashanah) warrant the need for an additional make-up. Please see me if this is your situation.

PROCEDURE

For Letting Me Know You Will Be Missing Your Class

USE THE IN CLASS MAKE UP SHEETS OR CALL ME to indicate when you will be missing your regular class, You only need to report an absence if you know about it 24 hours or more before your class.

No call necessary the day of an absence!

IT IS FINE TO CALL if you cant get to class to sign out or sign in. Just leave a message letting me know the class you will be missing. If at the same time you want to sign up for a make up class, just follow procedure below. NOTE: When you remember to sign out in advance, you open up a make-up spot for another family.

PROCEDURE For Calling or Emailing To Schedule A Make Up

EMAIL: email me at singwithb@cox.net and follow procedure below.

OR CALL 401-364-7664 (SONG), press # 2 on your telephone keypad

CHOOSE ONE TIME FROM BELOW:
Tuesday through Friday mornings at 9:15, 10:15 or 11:15 am
OR

Tuesdays 1:15 pm or Wednesdays, 1:00 pm (two pm. classesheld this session)
Leave or write a clear message, leaving the one class you want to attend!
If calling, review the script below to avoid unnecessary phone tag!

CORRECT WAY EXAMPLE (email or phone): Hi Barbi, I want to make up a class I missed and want to come Wednesday, April. 30^th at 11:15. Ill assume that is okay unless I hear

back from you. My # is 401-555-5555 (if not emailing).

INCORRECT WAY: Hi, I want to make up a class and want to come Wednesday, April. 30^th at 11:15. Can you call me and let me know if that is okay? I could also come on Thursday at 10:15. Please call me back and let me know.

If Not Emailing, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PHONE#!

I'll Only Call Or Email You Back If Theres A Problem Otherwise Assume Its Fine

ALTERNATE MAKE-UP OPTION -

TAKE YOUR CHANCES DROP IN MAKE UPS.

If you're in the neighborhood and you are having trouble taking or finding a makeup in the usual way, you can try dropping in to see if there is an opening due to an absence. Come and hover in the waiting area and poke your head in and let me know you are here for a walk in makeup. Don't come into class yet. If there is room, I will wave you in as soon as I know there is room. Chances are good that you will be able to stay! (unless other folks had the same idea or every one showed up and it is an especially lively class, not conducive to extra people!)

IMPORTANT! Please do not exercise this option if you have a child who will be upset if you get to music class and then have to leave. I don't want to cause you stress. That being said, most of the time it works out fine!
